30+ years of teaching P.E. has earned Josie a stellar reputation with parents, who frequently highlight her ability to support students who may not see themselves as “typical” athletes, helping them develop body confidence, resilience, and a lasting love of movement.

Site Manager

With more than 30 years of experience teaching elementary-aged students, Josie fully commits to inclusive, student-centered Physical Education. She has taught across multiple grade levels, designing developmentally appropriate lessons that emphasize skill-building, teamwork, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits. Josie is bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing her to build strong relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds.


Josie is the founder of the Queen Anne Elementary Marathon Club, a before-school running program that has become a cornerstone of the school community. Josie is widely recognized for creating one of the most positive and inclusive Physical Education experiences at Queen Anne Elementary. She received more than 30 nominations from families and colleagues, many citing Marathon Club as one of the most impactful programs at the school. Parents frequently highlight her ability to support students who may not see themselves as “typical” athletes, helping them develop body confidence, resilience, and a lasting love of movement.


As Site Manager for Game On! Kids Camp, Josie oversees daily operations, camper safety, and staff supervision, ensuring programming runs smoothly and campers feel welcomed, engaged, and supported throughout the day. She leads with organization, warmth, and a strong focus on positive behavior support and active supervision.


Outside of camp, Josie enjoys staying active, connecting with her community, and finding new ways to make movement fun and accessible for all kids.
